Dreamy bougainvillea, Rethimno, Crete, Greece — September 22, 2019
Funny, until I turned 40, I never even noticed flowers. But now, I seem to see them everywhere. And nothing is more thrilling about traveling around the Mediterranean than seeing bougainvillea in their prime. For some reason this plant always looks it’s best in these parts. I see them at home in California, and though still magestic, nothing seems to match what happens when I find this plant here, in this part of the world: Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, etc.
