Romantic moment, Sidon Sea Castle, Lebanon — July 2, 2021

We arrived to Sidon on a Friday, during the Friday prayer. A mosque in the distance was broadcasting their Imam’s sermon quite intensely over loudspakers with the arabic prayers reverberating off the buildings in the distance, and even off the castle we were in, causing the echo to repeat multiple times. From the Sea Castle, the enitre ambiance was surreal, to say the least. To top it off, we found this arched door and view, with a casual local couple taking it all in, not really phased by all the audio stimuli going on around us. Zara snapped this shot, and it is one that brings me right back to the memory. I wish I had sound to play.
