The golden hour on a corner of Paris, France — 26 November 2006
I went on a very long bike ride on 26 November 2006. I rode from my flat in the Marais passed Hôtel de Ville and across Île de la Cité and her beautiful Notre-Dame cathedral. I biked all the way to La Défense, the financial center of Paris, far removed from classical Paris that tourists know best. On my way home, I made it a point to pass by the Eiffel Tower at sunset and stayed through the early evening. The weather was clear, the skies were blue, and the tower, she sparkled like no other.
