I first found Moonrocks by driving aimlessly around the Santa Cruz mountains. For thouse with less time, try this: ① Take Empire Grade past UCSC; ② Left on Ice Cream Grade; ③ Left on Martin Road. On your left you’ll see what I call Moonrocks major. On your right is Moonrocks minor. Both are great. When you are finished, keep driving on Martin Road until it ends. Turn left on Pine Flat. This should take you down to Highway 1 and the ocean about 10 miles north of Santa Cruz.
