I didn’t want to clean this classic photo; it was too damaged and I didn’t have four hours to waste. Here’s how the story goes, though: Thinking we would witness a rare leopard sighting, we off-roaded down a steep slope only to find Breakfast stalling out moments later. For half an hour we tried to restart her stubborn engine, but to no avail. As the sun was setting, we began to hear the cries of hungry nocturnal animals beginning their evening hunt. Desperate, we attempted the ridiculous: winching our 2-ton car out of this funk using the crap-weight-tested rope you see here. The wench did power on but no sooner did the rope let out a loud “SNAP!” and broke in half. We were about to give up when one of us decided to give the ignition key one last try, and boom, Breakfast came back to life. Such was her way— she was probably just enjoying the sunset.
